Spelt Schenkeli with grapeseed flour

Spelt Schenkeli with grapeseed flour, Valais, Switzerland

Preparation

Makes about 50 pastries.

  1. Mix milk, sugar, eggs and salt and beat to a froth until sugar has dissolved.
  2. Add spelt flour, baking powder and grapeseed flour and knead for approx. 8 to 10 minutes. Finally add melted butter.
  3. Cool in fridge for one hour.
  4. Make into rolls the thickness of a finger, and cut into lengths of approx. 2 to 4 cm.
  5. Fry at 180 degrees for approx. 5 minutes in a fryer or in oil in a frying pan.
