Oven-baked cheese Croûte, Valais

Preparation

  1. Cut the bread into 8 slices. Take 4 greased ovenproof plates, place 2 slices of bread on each and sprinkle with wine.
  2. Lay the slices of ham on top of the bread. Cut the cheese in 12 slices and lay on top of the ham. Cut the onions into rings and the garlic in fine slices, spread over the cheese and season.
  3. Bake for about 10 min. in the upper part of an oven preheated to 220 °C.
