N.4 - Plan Beu

This east-facing trail is very sunny and offers a magnificent excursion through the Vichères-Liddes ski area.

This trail takes you to the Bavon ridge, above the hamlet of Vichères, in the heart of the commune of Liddes.   With its location between the Grand-Saint-Bernard valley and the Val Ferret, you’ll be treated to copious sunshine and a 360° view of the Combins and the Dolent ranges, the French-Italian-Swiss border. A welcome stop at the "Bar des Neiges" after the first big climb will allow you to take a breath and contemplate these imposing mountains.

Pass to the left of the ski lift and follow the trail slightly uphill to the chairlift, then go down to the La Chaux - Chapelet junction.

Leave the track and continue your descent in the direction of the forest. At the edge of the forest, go north to "Les Torrents" then zigzag to the "Dzayo" chalets and continue north to pass under the chairlift and reach the Chapelet parking lot.
