Asparagus pie

Asparagus pie, Valais, Switzerland

Preparation

  1. Line the pie dish with the pastry.
  2. Prick the base of the tart with a fork.
  3. Peel the asparagus and roughly chop into 3 cm pieces. Spread them on top of the pastry.
  4. Beat the egg and milk together, add salt and pepper and pour the mixture on top of the pastry.
  5. Cover with grated cheese.
  6. Pour the cream over the whole tart.
  7. Cook in the oven at 200°C for 35 min.
     

Serve warm.
