Lac de Morgins

The Morgins Lake is a site of national importance. Today, it is part water and part humid vegetation and marshland on the southern side. This biotope is catalogued in the Federal Inventory of significant national amphibian breeding sites. The area is surrounded by spruce forests and meadows for grazing. A romantic setting, ideal for a leisurely rest or daydreaming. From the lake, visitors can admire the magnificent view of the Dents du Midi summits. The water and environmental theme walk linking the Morgins Lake and Vonnes Lake in Chatel, features a dozen signs shaped like drops of water. This walk is a symbol of the friendly bonds and relationships that unite France and Switzerland.
