Turn-by-turn directions

The route starts in Champex, a village nestled around a magnificent Alpine lake. After a few metres, follow the lake and take the opportunity to admire the reflection of the Grand Combin – which peaks at over 4,400 metres. After a slight ascent at Aldray, you will be greeted by an exceptional view over the lake and the village. Follow the river until you get to the two other villages that make up the resort – Champex d'en Haut and Champex d'en Bas, after which the route leads uphill through a magnificent larch forest. Bike back down towards the lake, doing a circuit in the forest on the other side of the resort before heading north of the lake via the banks of a marsh, which is a protected site of national importance due to its scenic value and many rare animal and plant species.
