Founded in 1889, Les Fils Maye is one of the oldest wine businesses in Valais. At the time, Léonide Maye took advantage of the arrival of the railway in Valais to set up his operation near Riddes station, which provided plentiful opportunities for selling his wines. The winery’s wine bar, “Le VerreMaye”, also located in Riddes, offers a chance to taste the company’s five ranges of wine, which showcase typical local grape varieties such as Amigne, Heida, Johannisberg, Syrah and Cornalin.

Specialising in cheese-based dishes, the restaurant – located in Riddes – offers a range of traditional and unconventional fondues and raclettes featuring seasonal ingredients. Plus points: an adjoining grocery store and shop, as well as themed workshops and events.

The Dorsaz family has been active in agriculture for three generations. In addition to numerous fruit and vegetable varieties, the company also sells fruit juice, jams, spirits, liqueurs and much more.

Festival takes place every year in May at the Philfruits Area in Riddes. You will find free tastings of 8 to 10 kinds of strawberries, a market of local produce with over 30 stands, guided-tours of the plantations, and delicious country food with strawberries. You will also find entertaining activities for everyone, farm animals, music and many other surprises. Free entrance, parking and shuttles to the Philfruits Area. Shop open 7/7 from May to October.
