The BCVS Valais Terroir Marathon
How many cities or regions have become famous thanks to their marathon? Valais launched its first road marathon in 2022. While the four routes can be run in "sporty" mode, runners can also choose to run them in "festive" mode, with tasting stations of local products, disguises and alphabetical rankings. The initiators of the project were inspired by major wine regions, such as the Médoc or Beaujolais, which organise annual marathons to showcase their local products with thousands of participants dressed up.
