Hardly anybody really believed that Andy Varonier would take over the family estate one day. First goalkeeper for FC Sion, then a top manager in the automotive industry, he now puts all his experience and energy into managing the winery. The career-switcher and visionary brought in plenty of new ideas, including the decision to hire the Scottish cellar-master Jamie McCulloch.
