«Sunnetreelleta» in Grengiols
Every three years in Grengiols, the «Sunnetreelleta» ritual is held in mid-November. In this ritual, village residents roll a large sun wheel down the steep village road with a powerful roar. This ritual is the way in which village residents whimsically take note of the fact that in parts of Grengiols the sun will not show its face for four to six weeks.
