Valais Tourism
Valais Tourism is an association of general interest functioning under private law. The aims of the association are to promote Valaisan tourism and, according to the law on tourism of 9th February 1996, it is the canton's advisory body on tourist affairs.
The aim of the tourism policy in Valais, based on the principles laid out in the "Charter for Sustainable Development" approved by the Grand Counsel, is to develop quality tourism in the canton, according to the will of the legislator defined in the law on tourism. In this context, the proposed measures essentially aim to increase the added value generated by tourism in order to improve the well-being of the population.
